Changelings, and faeries at large, have become potent symbols of inspiration and even self-identity amongst many queer, trans, and/or neurodivergent pagans, including the Radical Faerie movement which began in the 1970s, and many of the activists who helped grow the Neurodiversity Movement in the last 2 decades.

I'm presenting for the seminar "Autistic Shit" at the American Comparative Literature Association Conference. My talk builds upon my work for the book chapter "Goth Subculture, Neurodivergence, and the Dark Power of Changeling Narratives for the forthcoming book "Heavy Metal and Disability: Crips, Crowds, and Cacophonies."

Presenters will share research on the narrative landscape surrounding trans athletes as well as proactive narrative strategies to push for transgender inclusion in sports.

Kayley will be presenting alongside trans MMA fighter Fallon Fox about a proactive positive communications strategy about trans inclusion in sports that is informed by the Race, Class, Gender Narrative. Political debates about trans athletes are being used to divide our movements and have become a dangerous wedge issue. We'll teach how to fight for inclusion and win.
